 Waterloo Rifle & Pistol Club is a members only organization dedicated to shooting sports. Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly atmosphere for the promotion and support

of firearms use for experienced and emerging shooters..

 Ranges: The club features five different ranges, including both indoor and outdoor facilities.

Hours: Ranges are typically open from 9:00 AM to dusk.

Safety Record: The club has never experienced a firearms-related incident in its 80+ year history.

Ammunition Limit: A strict 1500 fps muzzle velocity limit is observed on most ranges, with the exception of the 200-yard rifle range. 

Activities & Programs While the club is private, many of its competitive events and educational programs are open to the public for nominal fees. 

Shooting Sports: Includes Sporterifle, Mini-Palma, 200yd Open,Bullseye (Precision Shooting), Action Pistol, Fun Shoots, 

Tactical/Fast Action, and Silhouette shooting.

Education:  We offer pistol and rifle courses as well as the NYS Hunter Safety.

Special Events: Regular sessions such as "Skills & Drills" and "Intro to Competitive Shooting" and more are hosted both at the indoor and outdoor ranges.

 The following is a brief description of our 5 available ranges:

Indoor Range:

This facility is available for all club members which includes a 10 station shooting bench. All ammunition is restricted to 1500fps muzzle velocity.  Due to this restriction, only .22lr rifles and all pistols with a muzzle velocity under 1500fps are allowed in the indoor range.

Rifle Range:

The 200 yard range hosts a variety of targets every 50 yards and the ability for the shooter to hang their own paper target.  Steel targets are located on the left side of the range and frames for paper targets are located on the right.  It is the only range where shotguns, muzzle loaders and ammunition over 1500fps is allowed. 

Tactical Pistol Range:

This is a popular range for practicing with centerfire handguns and .22lr pistols and rifles.  There are 4 plate racks set up at two different stages where members can come down and plink away.  Ammunition is restricted to 1500fps and centerfire rifles are restricted to pistol calibers that fall below the 1500fps restriction.

Outdoor Silhouette Range:

With berms at 40, 50, 75 and 100 yards, members can engage targets at varying distances.  There is no ammunition allowed over 1500fps at this range so only rifles and pistols (rimfire and centerfire) with velocities below 1500fps are allowed.

Outdoor Pistol Range:

The Outdoor Pistol Range was specifically created with Fun-Shoots and Action Shooting in mind.  Berms were constructed to create 5 different shooting bays where a wide variance in targets can be set up for practice and competitions.  This set up allows Fun-Shoots and Action Shooting to have multiple squads shooting simultaneously and safely.  This range is restricted to centerfire handguns and PCC's with velocities under 1500fps.
